January 2010
A Happy and Healthy New Year to you all.
Irish Classes / Irish Courses
We will continue our Irish Courses from the 13th of January. The intermediate group will have classes on Wednesday evenings from 8pm to 10pm and our beginners class will be held on Thursday nights at 8pm. Should anyone want more help, you can call into Bríd in the Co-op offices on Mondays, Wednesdays and on Thursday mornings. We also have other activities from time to time so that people have plenty of opportunities to practice conversational Irish.
If you are interested in doing an Irish Course during Easter or Summer, contact Bríd at cualain@eircom.net.
Walks
Perhaps you have been thinking of taking up a healthy activity for this year. If so, why not join the walkers group who meet every lunchtime at the co-op offices. Meet us at 1.30 Monday to Friday for your daily 45 min. walk around the lake.
Tai Chi ; Stíl Chen
Anyone can learn and enjoy Tai Chi. It is a milder form of martial arts than most and is a great way to release tension. Confidence, self-disipline and a well balanced mind are some of the benefits of regularily practicing Tai Chi. Come and see what it's all about at the handball alley at 8.30 p.m. Friday the 15th of January. More information on taichi at www.chentaichiireland.com
