Seomra na Gaeilge / Irish Language Initiative

Congratulations to Alissa who recently received a Pass with Distinction in the first level of the European Language Exams in Irish.  We hope that her achievement will encourage others to follow her example.  This language initiative is going from strength to strength and we are grateful to those who give of their time to facilitate the Wednesday Ciorcal Comhrá.

Inis Oírr Races

This year's races will be held on the weekend of 15/16/17 July.

Lifeboat Ceili

The lifeboat céilí will be held in the Hall on Tuesday 12th July between 9.30 - 11.00.  We expect a great crowd again this year.

Swimming Instruction

This course will start at noon on Monday the 11th August and will continue until Friday 15th.   It is open to adults and to children, beginners and improvers.  You will cover basic CPR as part of the course.  If you are interested in taking the course, leave your name and date of birth at the Co-op office before Friday, 8th of August. .

Summer Camp

A football and hurling summer camp will be held from Monday the 28th of July until Friday 1st of August at the football pitch in Inis Oírr.

Cost: €40 one child, €70 for two children and €95 for three children.

“Sewing Sunday ”

A group of quilters get sewing together every Sunday afternoon in Aras Eanna from 2 - 5 pm.  You can practice basic quilting by hand or by machine or learn simple sewing techniques.  Bring your own supplies.  More information from Mary McCarty Tel: 085 1699145

Monday – Friday 9.30 – 11.00 am  Dressings and advice

Monday – Friday 4.00 – 5.30pm You can call in to dress a wound, check blood pressure and get general advice.  You can call the nurse after 5.30 in cases where you cannot get hold of the doctor.
